Job Summary
T-Brothers Food & Trading Ltd. is seeking a Food Safety Specialist to join our team. The position will be based in Port-Coquitlam, BC. You will be primarily responsible for Food Safety duties for the food production line (Kimchi).


Job Descriptions:
·          Participate in compliance with Food Safety, CFIA, and HACCP (if applicable) and ensure food safety and quality is kept
·          Discuss with managers to meet food safety and quality, provide additional assistance as requested
·          Document reports and assists with all administrative functions associated with this role
·          Confidently produce and modify food safety plans, sanitation plans, and other documentation
·          Other duties as assigned
 
Requirements, Skills & Qualifications:
·          Legally eligible to work in Canada (must currently live in Canada)
·          Completed post-secondary education in Food Sciences or related
·          Minimum 2 years of work experience in Food Safety Administration activities (Korean experience is also counted)
·          Strong understanding of food safety expectations for food production operations
·          Driver’s license (class 5)
·          Must be computer proficient (MS Office, Excel, and PowerPoint)
·          Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
·          Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
·          Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Korean


Work Setting:
·          Full-time permanent position. 5 days a week (Monday to Saturday) 8am - 5pm, 40hours/ week, with a 30 mins lunch break and two 15 min breaks
·          Interact with all levels of personnel and external inspectors
·          Location: #120-1658 Industrial Ave, Port Coquitlam, BC
