Biography 

Born in Mexico City, Gustavo Herrera immigrated to Vancouver British Columbia in 2007. Gustavo is a true renaissance man 

in every sense of the term. Possessing a Tenor voice and passion for singing, he began to study opera at very young age in Mexico City.  His first concert was with the UNAM Philharmonic Orchestra at Netzahualcoyotl Concert Hall one of the best music halls in Latin America, Singing the Tenor solo roll of The Fantasy in C minor for Piano, Chorus, and Orchestra, Op . 80

 by Ludwig van Beethoven. Gustavo has performed in several venues in Germany, France, Spain, Canada and Mexico.

His repertory includes a versatile range of music and stiles like: Italian anthology, Choral music, Grand Opera, Classic Napolitan, R&B, Rock & Roll, Sacred Music, Classic Mexican songs, Pop Latino and Traditional Mariachi Band among others.

Gustavo was pleased to perform for the China Town Vancouver Rotary Club, Success foundation, Italian Community Center, Vancouver Mexican Community, Associazione Culturale Calabrese, Shadbolt Center for the Arts, Italian Day on the Drive, Circolo Folkloristico Siciliano della BC and several diplomatic events singing the Canadian National Anthem “O Canada” among others, as well in  fundraisings evenings with great success giving something back to the community
